What is Shan Koe Mee?
Shan Koe Mee is a traditional Myanmar card game that has brought enjoyment to casino tables and friend groups for many years. "Koe Mee" means playing with nine cards, and the goal is to get a hand total as close to 9 as possible. Because players must decide whether to draw a third card, the game is not purely luck — it takes both strategy and good fortune.
Shan Koe Mee, enjoyed equally by younger players and older generations, has been brought to life by hm88 on a digital platform. Open the game on your phone to watch the cards and dealer live, with customer support available in Myanmar language around the clock.
The game itself is straightforward — you receive two cards, calculate your total, then decide whether to draw a third. Totals of 9 or 8 are the highest; 0 or 1 are the lowest. Playing digitally, you can see every card dealt in real time and get round results instantly, making the experience more enjoyable.
Step-by-Step Guide to Playing Shan Koe Mee
Receiving Your Cards
Every player receives two cards. Only the last digit of the total counts, so for example 1+5=6, and 7+5=12 counts as 2.
BasicDeciding on a Third Card
If your total is 5 or under, you can draw a third card. If you have 6–7, you should consider standing. If you have 8–9, you must stand.
StrategyDetermining the Result
The player's and dealer's totals are compared, and whoever is closest to 9 wins. If both totals are equal, the bet is returned.
Win / LoseBet Types
There are three main bet types: betting that the player wins, betting that the dealer wins, and betting on a tie.
BetsFast Rounds
Each round takes around 3 minutes at a physical table — and even faster digitally — so you can play many rounds in a single night.
FastSecure Gaming Environment
hm88 protects your data with SSL encryption and uses Random Number Generator (RNG) technology to ensure fair play.
